Frequently Asked Questions, Jane's Apotherapy
How much time do I need for an Apotherapy session?
It takes about 10 minutes to locate the main problem area, and additional time to work and resolve the disorder. Usually an injury area requires 30 minutes Apotherapy to get a good result. You may have a shorter or longer complete session (close to 100% improvement), depending on the condition and total related surface area. At the end you may be finished up with herb and 10 minutes of mineral treatment if needed.
Can I preset my total Apotherapy treatment time or budget?
Yes, just like massage but you may need to come back if your preset treatment time doesn't get you completely fixed. For first timers that are not referred by anyone, we prefer you don't get a long session. And you're treated for a second condition only after the first condition is cured. Although Apotherapy is always good for you, you are only given a treatment when you allow it or ask for it. For people that don't live in New York, a complete session is more worthwhile. The Apotherapy can only help your conditions; otherwise you can have it as enhancement to health or sports performance. For sports injuries after Apotherapy, you're usually better than before the injuries so you can go back to play harder. Not only you will play better, you also will not be injured as easily!
Do I need to bring a diagnosis with me for an Apotherapy session?
No, you don't have to; bring it only you have one already. If you have a broken bone or 100% tear condition (you are not even able to move), then you will need X-ray and maybe also a surgery from our orthopedic doctor or surgeon.
Jane's Apotherapy is also a very useful diagnostic tool. Sometimes it can even locate problem areas that X-rays cannot provide. Accurate diagnoses are good for you to know what you have before and after the Apotherapy if it doesn’t hurt to have them done.
How many Apotherapy sessions do I need for a complaint disorder?
Usually you know the percentage of improvement during and right after the first session. After about one week, if any deeper layer area is still not 100% better, you will probably need one or more additional sessions. For injuries, if you make sure your pain is completely gone before you walk out our door, one session is all you need.
How long will the improvement last from Jane's Apotherapy?
Massage gives temporary relief. Jane's Apotherapy gives permanent relief, unless of course you reinjure yourself.
Sometimes for a condition built up by your own body (not by injuries), you may need more treatment to clear all the related causes that contribute to it. The difference is that the Apotherapy gives you the cure.
The other treatments may make you feel better, but you'll know the condition is still there if you trigger it.
What do I need to do before an Apotherapy treatment?
It's better you don't take any pain medication the day you're coming over for the Apotherapy,
so you can feel all the related areas and how much better the pain is during and right after the treatment
(unless pain medication doesn't help much to your pain). And you also eat your regular meals prior to the treatment so
you have energy. Then you just relax and most of time you can enjoy the treatment better than a deep tissue massage.
Can I get back to my everyday activity routine right after an Apotherapy session?
Yes, definitely, you can even go right back to playing sports or dancing if you feel fully recovered with full range
of motion and movement. Or you may avoid overworking the treated area for a day or two if it's still tender from the
treatment. Otherwise you don't have to do anything or you can do whatever you want. Redness may occur on the treated
area showing what’s been cleared out.
It will fade right after a session or within a week according to the treated area’s blood circulation and your
condition. If you have congealed blood deposits that are cleared out to the skin surface,
they may look like bruises during the healing process. However, the end result is smoother, healthier and younger
looking skin.
When should I get an Apotherapy session?
You should get an Apotherapy session anytime you experience an acute or chronic condition.
It is better to act sooner than later to save yourself from unnecessary suffering. Irritations from tension,
improper manual work, or needles can worsen your conditions. Frequent cortisone / steroid injections may lead to
tissue degeneration. Tissue damage by acupuncture needles often leads to more congealed blood deposits.
Nerve tissue damage by needles often unwittingly leads to aggravating numbness. These require additional time
for the Apotherapy to clear up, especially in the case of repetitive multiple nerve and deep tissue damage caused by acupuncture needles.
Numbing, blocking, or even stimulating does not fix the pain, and the worse is when you don't feel the damage right away. For treatment
that requires visits for weeks, months, or even years, most of the time your body heals by itself. But healing may not be the same as
curing. If you feel your condition comes back from time to time, that just means it was never cured.
What if I already had a surgery?
If there is any scar tissue adhesion or edema, or if your surgery does not improve your condition completely,
then you should come to Jane's Apotherapy for corrections. The Apotherapy work is easier if no surgeries have been done.
If you have artificial implants, Apotherapy treatment can help release blockage built up around the implants, relieving pain or stiffness.
Do you accept medical insurance?
We don't deal with your insurance for the Apotherapy, you can get a receipt for your own reimbursement.
Apotherapy can be very worthwhile regardless of insurance coverage, because most of time, you get fixed by one
Apotherapy visit. For many conditions besides surgeries, Apotherapy can be the only cure for you. Most insurance
is accepted directly for seeing our doctors, orthopedist, or orthopedic surgeon.
